ANNALS
The seed of The Juhu Parle Education Society was sown by Juhu Vile Parle Development Co-operative Housing Association Ltd. in 1980. This Association constituted and then entrusted The Juhu Parle Education Society with the responsibility of establishing an English Medium School. JPES was formed to overcome the dearth of good English Medium schools in the vicinity. It's contribution began when the foundation stone of Utpal Shanghvi School was laid. The school is housed on Plot No.7, A-12-3, East West Road No.3 in JVPD Scheme, Vile Parle West, Mumbai 400 049. Having adopted the International curriculum, it has been nomenclatured Utpal Shanghvi Global School.
In the first meeting of the new body held on 10th February 1980, the Nominee Members of all 14 Co-operative Societies participated. The Office Bearers were elected as per the Constitution of the JPES in this meeting. These Office bearers promptly swung into action, taking under their wings the land that had been allotted. Together, they sowed the seed of the School in March 1980. Immediately thereafter, Shri B. G. Bhatt of Architecture Corner (Vile Parle) was appointed the Honorary Architect of the Society. All the 14 Co-operative Societies participated in this venture and were able to complete the project of setting up the school within a record three years. The process of germination began with the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the Utpal Shanghvi School building.
