CIDTL
To stay abreast with the times, the entire faculty of USGS and PPSIJC is periodically enrolled for professional development programmes, especially those conducted by the Cambridge. We are a CAMBRIDGE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL (CIS). We are very particular about our learners' educational development and all round advancement for which teaching skills updation is crucial. Our Faculty prefers to stay ahead in a world that progresses professionally regularly.
Face to face, subject related workshops, online training, Community interactions and the CIDTL (CIDTT till 2013) have been undertaken by teachers to see an improvement in their teaching styles and methodology. The Management aims to ensure that each faculty member holds the Diploma which is a Cambridge International qualification and has even facilitated the same by paying 50% towards the course fee. Not only that, the enrolled teachers enjoy a hands-on experience. They continue to learn as they teach, guided by the on campus Programme Leader.
CIDTL
The Juhu Parle Education Society introduced the Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers (CIDTT) in the year 2010 with an endeavour to facilitate professional advancement of teachers. They receive an international exposure to become dynamic professionals who view themselves as teacher facilitators rather than lecturers. It is ideal for continued professional development, expanding thinking and delivering the curriculum effectively.
With the re-launch of the Diploma in Jan 2014, the Institution continues to offer the revised Cambridge International Diploma in Teaching and Learning (CIDTL) with a revised syllabus.
The teachers complete 3 Modules. Each module has a practice–based assignment.
Module 1: Exploring Teaching and Learning.
Module 2: Teaching and Learning in Action.
Module 3 : Developing Professional Practices.
The Diploma develops competence in design, practice, assessment and evaluation and fosters reflection and practice based enquiry. It facilitates the practice of quality teaching and learning as per global standards. It is of assistance in becoming more Reflective, Responsive, Resourceful, Confident, Capable and Creative in teaching. Our teachers suitably use a variety of approaches in the teaching-learning process to help learners acquire knowledge more gainfully. The faculty is mutually supportive; a win-win for students!
