We say. ‘’Thank you”. We say “Please”. We don’t interrupt or tease. We don’t argue. We don’t fuss. We listen when folks talk to us. Share our toys and take our turn. Manners are so easy to learn. What better way to instill these habits than in a form of a game. EY4 learners were given an opportunity to solve and identify puzzles of good and bad habits in form of a pair- share activity. 5 SENSES
EY4 - Young children learn through direct experiences. Our 5 senses allow us to enjoy the world around us, the taste of our food, the sound of music, the beauty of a sunrise, the softness of a cat's fur, and the fragrance of a rose. Children may know the importance of their senses, but they don't often focus on them individually. Our EY4 enthusiastic and energetic learners were given an excellent opportunity to explore each of the 5 senses. The learners experimented with different materials which helped them understand the sense of touch, taste, smell, sound, and sight. Young children love exploring and experimenting, and if you embrace the learning process by allowing them to do so you’ll make learning their favourite activity.
D.E.A.R. Programme
EY4 - Early Years is a time for exploration of young minds, and at the heart of that exploration is reading and comprehension. D.E.A.R (Drop Everything and Read) program is to develop the love for reading amongst the young learners. One of the most lasting ways caregivers can impact their children's overall success and joy is by instilling in them love and passion for reading. Learners enjoyed browsing through books and asked the facilitators for the words they could not comprehend. This activity helped to boost their concentration, vocabulary and imaginative skills. Always remember you can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax, and all you need is a book.
